Rwanda's next two months, day by day
Kigali edition · Kigali edition
An agenda of everything falling in the next sixty days — grouped into this week, later this month and further ahead, plus the seasons worth watching.
Setting today's listings…
This is the page to open when your dates are fixed and you want to know what falls inside them. It stitches together three things: confirmed editions entered from official announcements, recurring events calculated from their genuine pattern, and annual events whose season is known but whose date has not been published yet.
The last group matters. Rwanda's biggest events — the gorilla naming ceremony, the trade fair, the national cycling race — move within their season each year. We show the season honestly rather than inventing a day, so you can hold a week in your plans and firm it up when the organiser announces.
If you are building a trip around one event, book accommodation the moment the date lands. Musanze around Kwita Izina and Kigali during a major summit both sell out fast, and prices firm up with them.
Weekly rhythms fill most weeks
Markets, live music and community mornings appear again and again — they are the reliable spine of any two-week visit.
Annual events cluster
July and August carry national holidays and the trade fair; September belongs to the gorilla naming ceremony.
Dates firm up late
Even major events are often announced only a few months out. Watch official channels rather than last year's dates.
Before you go
- How far ahead does this page look?
- Sixty days. Annual events with a known season are listed too, marked as a season rather than a date.
- Why are some entries a month rather than a day?
- Because the organiser has not published the date yet. We would rather label the season than invent a schedule.
