An hour east of the capital on the Akagera road, with a chain of small lakes, Rwanda's cycling academy country and a handful of lakeside guesthouses. The usual first or last night of a safari run.

Out to Muhazi

The easiest overnight from Kigali. Leave after lunch and you still get the whole afternoon on the lake.
